- As an average American girl living in a very foreign country, I encounter more than my share of random, confusing, humorous, or degrading experiences. As a means of maintaining emotional buoyancy, and of retaining what little sanity I have left, I have made a practice of sending my stories home on a regular basis, so that my family may laugh with me, or cry, as the occasion demands. For others who have wanted to keep tabs on me, I’ve set up this blog. These posts are just copies of my family’s emails, unedited.
